So let’s just say that time is a figment of our collective imagination and we can change it when it doesn't work for us as a collective. Think of all the other things this applies to:

Laws

National borders

Money

Gender

The list is endless, but my point is: we can collectively imagine a better world and it can exist.

Is time a figment of our imaginations?

Cosmologists and physicists come up empty handed when they attempt to pin down time. So what, exactly, is it?

Tomorrow I’m running The Session Design Lab again, six years after the very first one. It was originally planned as an in‑person workshop in London, but the pandemic forced a rapid pivot online. I offered refunds; everyone stayed.

Since then, it’s become a global online lab for people who care about interactive, participant‑centred sessions and growing their facilitation practice. More info:

I was sceptical that they could pull off a sequel to Zone of Interest…

But wow, really have to say: Melania is an absolute triumph in that respect.

We’re on a quest to help people design spaces that build solidarity and counter the divisiveness so present in our world right now.

On March 24–25 (3–6pm UTC, online), we’re running our 27th Session Design Lab for civil society, NGO, charity, non‑profit and movement conveners who want participant‑centred sessions that ground people in connection and hope.

It’s pay‑what‑you‑can so anyone can join:

Strategy Is Hard – and Even Harder in Isolation

Final Takeaways from the Strategy Design Festival Across the Strategy Design Festival, one message kept surfacing in quiet conversations over breaks and in the closing circle: the hardest strategy work isn’t the frameworks – it’s doing it without feeling alone. On paper, most organisations have access to plenty of tools: theories of change, canvases, logframes, OKRs, and strategic plans. In practice, people kept saying…
