Hi all, I am slowly acquiring components to build up a honest mid-high to high-end road bike to keep for as long as possible. I was waiting for the new Time Scylon frame to become available, but I noticed a pretty deep discount on a Specialized Aethos frame for 1800€ (here [https://www.biker-boarder.de/specialized/3130846.html]). UVP lies at 3800€ (Specialized website [https://www.specialized.com/de/de/aethos-rahmenset/p/4221548?color=5440794-4221548]). Apart from the obvious question of taste regarding the color scheme, it looks like a pretty nice offer. The Aethos looks to be made for home mechanics (threaded BB, non-integrated headset, round seat clamp) and ride very well. What are your thoughts? The hypothetical Time Scylon goes for like 5000€, so I would invest much less money. Should I go for it? :)

A big miss and always omitted by reviewers: no HF-anti-flicker-shooting = obnoxious video flicker under LED lights! The normal Anti-flicker-shooting only works for stills. Buyers beware. If only lazy Canon would release a multi-function-shoe EVF…

Just a heads up for who’s interested: don’t underestimate the importance of tire pressure on comfort and safety. There are several online tools for choosing the best tire pressure according to different parameters. At the link you find the one by Silca that is highly regarded. As gravel bikes are generally rigid and rely on the tires to attenuate vibrations and absorb impacts, the correct pressure is key. I hope this could be useful to someone, I will add it to the sidebar.
