Risk of myocarditis and pericarditis following BNT162b2 and mRNA-1273 COVID-19 vaccination

Evidence indicates that mRNA COVID-19 vaccination is associated with risk of myocarditis and possibly pericarditis, especially in young males. It is not clear if risk differs between mRNA-1273 versus BNT162b2. We assessed if risk differs using comprehensive ...

@SleepyCatten @transworld one could say any opinion is a force of nature that cannot be changed by the opposite point of view
@transworld Some concerns: 1: many adolescents who have been put on psychotropic drugs since childhood, now believe they are asexual due to the side effects. 2: The frontal lobe of the human brain is not mature until the early 20’s. 3: Is hormonal testing required when a patient comes to a doctor with gender dysphoria to rule out a deficiency as the root cause.
@drrjv I do follow the experts like Dr Paul Offit who at this point only recommend boosters for the “very” elderly and that’s how I know it would be incredibly rare for a young person to die from Covid or suffer long Covid. Any MD will tell you that any child who has died from Covid most likely had comorbidities before they contracted it. Yikes -the vaccine never prevented transmission so the vaccinated and unvaccinated are certainly equal there.
@drrjv ugh-cannot believe anyone would promote a vaccine for young people who didn’t even get seriously sick with the worst original variant. First vaccine injury payments have begun: https://www.ntd.com/us-compensates-people-injured-by-covid-19-vaccines-for-first-time_914102.html?fbclid=IwAR2FRHYUMI6MJUfWhQx3GBF_BgGi3AN5vOkSvRTTcL2gDvoV7oydscYXgAM&mibextid=uc01c0
US Compensates People Injured by COVID-19 Vaccines for First Time

The United States has for the first time paid people who were injured by COVID-19 vaccines. Three people received compensation for their injuries through the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP), run by an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services, officials said in a new update. One person who suffered severe allergic shock received $2,019, […]

@ocdtrekkie @drrjv interesting-places like grocery stores have public bathrooms and then ones for the employees that are more private but then that might involve the public invading the employee’s space. It will be most interesting to see what develops with this.
@ocdtrekkie @drrjv places will never pay for individual bathrooms. That would be too expensive. The cost-effective way for a big corporation is what they have now -1 bathroom with many stalls and for many unisex will not be acceptable
@ocdtrekkie @drrjv very true, but people will argue their home is a safe place with family members in their natural biological state
@ocdtrekkie @drrjv there will be many who will never be comfortable with unisex bathrooms but that would definitely solve the problem.
@ocdtrekkie @drrjv regardless of what is decided, it will never be fair to everyone. Sexist or not, people have accepted that sports have gender restrictions and all this exception has done is create more hate. Bathrooms are certainly an issue. A transgender may very well feel perfectly comfortable in the gender bathroom they relate to but you can’t expect the general public to jump on board with this.
