I have a bunch of shit to do today and it sucks because shark week hath cometh and I am crampy and owwie and annoyed by EVERYTHING bc the fibro's flaring up. So once I'm done for the day, I am doing approximately jack and shit for the rest of the day. It's gonna be a "figure out who Nora's gonna romance" day because as it turns out, her tastes may be different now. The post-nuclear world is absolutely changing her in ways I hadn't expected to happen as I'm playing.

And yes, I went with the "was supposed to be canon" version of Nora who was in the military as well. That was apparently cut from the story and I will FOREVER be mad about that. (I've got a mod that restores that cut storyline so fuck the devs who cut it I WILL HAVE FORMER SOLDIER NORA!)

Duke Davis of One Shot Questers having a full-on crashout because he's an idiot who doesn't understand production costs and then losing his utter shit when called out, THEN preventing engagement so no one can call him out for the loser he is in his comments, THEN going after Crispy for calling him out, is genuinely pathetic.

Also, he uses abuser logic where he's the GRAND SAVIOR who's gonna save the D&D community (he doesn't even play anymore!) and anyone who thinks he's being abusive/aggressive is a liar/attacking him (classic DARVO) is doubly pathetic.

I pity his child, and I hope that this isn't how he is in his everyday life, because if he is, his wife deserves a better husband and his child deserves a better father. He's such a worthless dickhead.

Well. Fuck. I apparently have to play the Nuka World DLC straight, which means I'm gonna wait til I get through the main storyline before going to the DLC (I don't want Preston turning hostile toward me) because ANDREW FREAKING WK voiced a character and I love that man's chaotic gremlin energy.

So-called trans activists defending the casting of Lev's cisgender woman actor with "But Lev hasn't medically transitioned so it's okay" is pissing me off. That's "Well, if you don't medically transition you're basically a woman". But apparently that's not a big deal to some, including a well-known activist who got PISSED about Eddie Redmayne and Jared Leto's casting as trans women.

The double goddamn standard is infuriating, and I'm fucking sick of it. TRANS MEN WHO HAVEN'T TRANSITIONED ARE STILL TRANS MEN. IT DOESN'T FUCKING MATTER. And defending this casting is defending transphobia in Hollywood and the world at large. STOP DOING JKR'S WORK FOR HER, YOU ASSHOLES.

The starting points are gonna screw me up because they only give you 21, but hey, that's what console codes are for! I've always felt 4 needed more to start with since you're prewar and without having to worry about survival, you're gonna be able to focus more on mind and body strength, so:

Strength: 3
Perception: 4
Endurance: 2 (she JUST had a kid)
Charisma: 8 (lawyering requires the gift of bullshittery)
Intelligence: 8 (Law school is a tough bastard)
Agility: 2 (again, she just had a kid)
Luck: 5 (trials involve a certain amount of luck, like getting the right judge, jury, finding the right evidence, etc)

I know, it's cheating. I don't care, I refuse to be constrained by the devs' limits and I will make my character the way I want her. I'm gonna lean fully into "I HAVE TO RESCUE SHAUN" instead of getting distracted by everything like I did with Nate lol

Okay, fuck it. I need a break from my War Criminal Nate playthrough. I wanna play an idealistic character, I need the hopeful aspect, so it's time to customize a Nora today. I'm gonna change her name, too, (yeah I gave Nate my name, but only because hearing Codsworth say "Eli" makes the brain chemicals go brrrr), so I'm gonna go with the same first letter. Which works because there are so many old school names for women starting with E. I may just be lazy and go Ellie, tbh, bc Eleanor would be a fitting name for her.

Now I just gotta figure out her SPECIAL stats, which means I'm off to look at various builds lol.
