My pronouns are irrelevant to me, I'll be whatever you think I am, but for simplicities sake I'm a single lesbian.
I tend to share photos of my pet rats & attempts at vegetable gardening, descriptions of short cycling trips and other outdoor adventures, the occasional rant, story or creative endeavor.

I wish I had more time for the creative stuff.

Saw the Fediverse described as where elder millennial, Gen X and boomers go to retire from the internet, and immediately felt the peace that passes all understanding wash over me. None of us have to struggle any longer. We completed our time.

TIL my parents don't know how to use Google maps beyond following the arrow & street names at the top of the screen.. lol.
Yesterday I taught them how to switch between pointing north and travel direction, today I taught them that the blue line on the map is showing the route ahead. Really blew my mind that they didn't realise that. Wait till they learn about alternate routes!

Had a rare morning to myself Monday thanks to the public holiday, so went for a quick hike... Which I had to rush the last (best) half of thanks to my daughter - who doesn't get state public holidays off - missing her bus to work and needing a lift 🙄

Would be neat to (nationally and legally) stop behaving that the greatest threat to our well-being is a poor person getting a dollar they don't "deserve".

My daughter is admitted to hospitals regularly, never fails to post vaguely about it in social media, but naturally I'm the one who receives incessant queries from family and friends asking what's going on. It's a little tiresome.

A few months into my first interracial relationship, (I'm an uncultured Caucasian swine, she's Asian)... biggest culture shock on my end so far is the the clingy Asian helicopter mother 😆
