Researcher with an interest in group decision making & democracy. Volunteer at Wikimedia. #WikiLovesMonuments If you see gibberish, it's likely Dutch. ~~~~
Alright, Google Drive now has apparently a filter active looking for files that may be used by scammers to track victims. How I know? Because our tracking sheet to contact organizers of WikiLovesMonuments photo competition and track status has been flagged as such...
Haven't seen this many null results in a long time. Much more realistic representation of research, I guess! #mpsa
Today I learned that some people refer to the great firewall of China as "internet sovereignty".

Are you one of those people that is sometimes sad when Wikimania is lacking certain topics?
When some speakers don't get the time they deserve?
Or are you just really invested in making #wikimania (not on mastodon!) a success?

"link rot and content drift have always been part of the web. Within the .gov domain it is currently an epidemic". Why there are so many broken links to us government pages. #wikicred
I wonder, did we ever consider setting up a photo booth/effort in the DNC/RNC to catch photos the same way some of out volunteers have done at book fairs and film festivals? It sounds like a logistical nightmare but very exciting from perspective of exposure!
When an LLM image generator basically makes fun of you... I asked for "an icon of a handshake in cardinal red"...
Wow, the article on recent Amsterdam attacks was edited more frequently than the article on the US presidential elections in the past month! I'm not sure I would have believed it if someone would have suggested any topic could 'accomplish' that... via Weeklypedia Digest @mahmoud
