Self-taught Web Developer, Web Server Admin and a few things in between.
Learning endlessly as we all inevitably do.

Will randomly post in English (o en Español.) Just like in the streets, I don't owe any passersby my conversations in their language of preference.

Preferred pronouns: he/him.

Watch out for these things!
Heh!

Nice talking points... but there is no change though.

"...the need to restrict consumers' goods & to pile up a needless plethora of producing equipment in order to maintain the irrational surplus called profit—which has caused orthodox economists like Hayek & Robbins to admit that only starvation wages & artificial scarcity could stabilize the profit system in future & avert increasing cyclical depressions of utterly destructive scope."

- Excerpt of a letter to Catherine L. Moore from H.P. Lovecraft, 1937.

Dependency hell is real.

Especially if your project is nearly abandoned by management and resources are not being dedicated to updates, maintenance and potential refactors required to reduce the amount of dependencies required.

When things that were not changed, break during a new deployment only because a deployment build process was run. That's when you know you've been in dependency hell for a while and they just put the burners in high just now.

I'm both, prepared and unprepared. At the same time. Depending on whether or not I'm being monitored.

Are you prepared for the day that quantum computing breaks today’s encryption?

Here's a fun AI story: a security researcher noticed that large companies' AI-authored source-code repeatedly referenced a nonexistent library (an AI "hallucination"), so he created a (defanged) malicious library with that name and uploaded it, and thousands of developers automatically downloaded and incorporated it as they compiled the code:

AI hallucinates software packages and devs download them – even if potentially poisoned with malware

Simply look out for libraries imagined by ML and make them real, with actual malicious code. No wait, don't do that

I must not be interrupted. Interruptions are the mind-killer. Interruptions are the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face all interruptions. I will permit them to pass over me and through me. And when they have gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the interruption has gone, there will be nothing. Only I will remain. With a singular project. Without context-switching 10 times per day.
