I like computers, chess, and ttrpgs. Yes I am a huge nerd I'm aware.
I'm curious. Do people get actual use out of AI chatbots? The conversation around it is so polarized it's hard to know. For me, I think making AI images is pretty cringe and so is paying for the premium subscription plans for these things. But I think there can be value in using the free versions casually. I have been experimenting with Anthropics Claude and it can be handy in some cases. What is Fedis opinion?

loooooooolSo I know most of us hate AI development and "vibe coding." And I am certainly one of those people. But I'm seeing many people now flaming open source devs for using it. And honestly I have less of a problem with that as long as the devs are open and up front about it. Open source work is grueling and also thankless. Until there's a proper structure for supporting them I find it hard to criticize them for it.
