I’ve found the perfect spot for my new space Lego pieces: right next to my Super Mario question block box! It reminds me of those moments in Nintendo games where you have to jump up and smash into the blocks and get different prizes based on when you jumped or just what’s in the block. In this case, the middle block is of course the mystery one (usually has sweets of some kind 😉) and the others have already been smashed, leading to new worlds entirely. ❤️
It’s been a long time since I played around with a Lego set, so I’m excited to start building this one! Who doesn’t want to add a touch of space to their home? 😁

I love walking around surrounded by nature, so I was kind of shocked to realize the Bloedel Conservatory was a thing and that I had never heard of the place before. I'm glad I did finally hear of it and got to visit it with family. What a beautiful bit of nature. ❤️

Happy Birthday, Grace!
I’ve had her for 12 years since March 6, 2011. But I don’t actually know her real age. When I first got her, the vet estimated she’d be around 4-6 years old. So she’s between 16 and 18 years of age now. I can’t believe it. She’s been with me since my high school years, and she really doesn’t look that much older.
Here’s to many more years together. ❤️
I knew the forecast said there'd be snow on the weekend. But there's been plenty of times that BC has had a false snow warning. So I was actually kinda surprised to see so much snowfall going on last night. It does look beautiful, though!

Of course, I couldn’t have a birthday without some new books! Looking forward to more good reading (at least once I finish my re-reading of the Southern Reach trilogy 😁).
I’m definitely not done celebrating my 30 years just yet! So to add to it, I recently opened up a cookbook I got from friends. The end results of this exploration were a nice savoury pasta dish and an amazing chorizo and kale salad. This was the tastiest part of my celebration yet, I think. ❤️
