I am Eden, a 40-something harpist, 420-friendly, sometimes ambient musician, court reporting student, scopist, taort card reader, avid book reader, and ecclectic music listener. My favorite books and podcasts are true crime, blindness-related, those in the vein of good scary old-time radio, and those podcasts that aren't worrying about offending others. A little wild and offensive humor is okay. Very few things bother me. For music, i like rock, singerSongwriter, ambient, harp, and Celtic.

So angry I'm shaking. New neighbors moved in yesterday. They had dogs, I'm used to it. This morning I hear a terrible screeching and squealing. JASON looks out and sees the neighbor pick up the dog by its neck, swing it around and beat it. Annonymous report to animal control has been made. I dislike most people thesedays. Disgusted!

@MosenAtLarge These false raids are becoming a real issue in The States. People can just get mad at someone, report that some crime is going on at their house, and SWAT just shows up. it doesn't bode well either for people who use cell phone data to prove people's whereabouts during crimes.

8) Due process for defendants is necessary, and should be inviolate, don’t get me wrong – I’m a big fan of the Fourth and Fifth Amendments. But when the procedures that have been built up to “protect due process” in fact run roughshod over victims, it’s time for a review.

Only 0.5% of rape cases result in arrest. That’s not due process for defendants. That’s bending over backward for them.

@vesperto @pixelfed I've been told by enough people how to think, feel, what I should believe or digest. I fervently believe you can't make adequate self-determinations about things if you are not allowed access to them. I would say it's appropriate for someone to put a nsfw tag. That's what is great about Mastadon. You can hide those things yourself if you wish.
