Purpose The purpose of this position is to manage and coordinate various grants, projects, and research-related activities Responsibilities Grant Management Coordinates activities relating to various grants, keep required records relating to grants, keep up with IRBs, ensuring acknowledgment of grants, etc. Drafts required documentation such as IRB proposals and amendments, annual reports, project outcome reports for public release, and other grant related documentation. Submits articles by researchers into the PubMed Central system, NSF PAR, and/or assists researchers in submitting their articles. Works with researchers to ensure compliance with funders’ requirements such as acknowledgment of funding, timely submission of reports, and other requirements. Liaise with PRC Administration, Office of Research Support and Compliance, and funders in relation to various aspects of grant management. Project Coordination Ensures that all project members have the required training and necessary documentation. Works with PIs and research staff to help design forms and templates such as the data security forms and standard email templates. Works with PIs and research staff to create procedures and processes for a variety of research related activities. Records Management and Archiving Maintains records and archives of various grant and project related documents, activities, and products. Maintains and submits paperwork related to researchers who use restricted data and datasets generated by the research group. Maintains records for restricted data provider licenses. Maintains records of a variety of other project related documents and activities. Writing, Proofreading, and Editing Drafts a variety of types of documentation, procedures, and letters. Coordinates multiple researchers in the preparation of articles and other research products for submission for publication and presentation. Reviews papers and documents to ensure compliance with style guides, formatting, and other submission requirements. Provides other editorial services such as indexing, formatting, image and graphics editing, and checking citations/references for accuracy. Ensures research papers and products contain correct funding acknowledgments and disclaimers. Dissemination and Public Outreach Creates and maintains websites when needed and adds/manages content to the research groups’ website. Searches for and procures images to be used in websites and promotional materials. Interacts with PRC Center staff for the promotion of research related topics and activities through PRC communications media and outlets. Mentoring and Training Mentors students and postdocs in relation to their studies in terms of IRBs, grant reporting, literature searches, and other research related topics. Onboards and trains incoming project members (trains/helps to supervise administrative associate and onboard new project members on several aspects of the project). Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree Experience and demonstrated proficiency in: project management; problem solving; effective communications; time management; planning; task delegation; use of relevant software; and other related administrative tasks. 5+ years' experience in program administration or program coordination experience Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Awareness of university, schools, and other educational institutional practices and policies regarding student confidentiality and research ethics. Background in social sciences and/or education.
