Retour d'utilisation d'un smartphone vieux de 10 ans - Lemmy.world

(J’allais poster ça sur le FL mais finalement je pense que ça mérite aussi bien son propre post) Ça fait une semaine que j’ai cassé mon smartphone (un Pixel 3A sous LineageOS) et que j’utilise un smartphone de remplacement presque antique (un Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini de… 2013). Franchement ça dépanne bien, surtout que le développement de ROM custom est toujours actif. J’ai installé un LineageOS non officiel sous Android 10, et voici un petit retour : Point positifs : - Android récent (màj de sécurité d’avril 2023) - performances correctes : les pages web chargent lentement mais autrement pour mon utilisation basique (je joue pas à des jeux 3D et j’utilise quasi-exclusivement des applications de F-Droid) ça fonctionne plutôt bien - autonomie correcte : pour une batterie qui va sur ses 10 ans je tiens largement plus d’une journée, en tout cas j’ai pas trop perçu de différences avec mon utilisation habituelle - très bel écran : l’AMOLED fait toujours son effet - format : on le sent pas du tout dans une poche Points négatfis : - ROM en userdebug (pas top du tout pour la sécurité) - màj du fournisseur de 2016 (pas top pour la sécurité) - kernel de 2013 (pas top pour la sécurité) - qualité photo - connectique d’un autre âge : micro-USB, mini-SIM (heureusement j’ai toujours des câbles en un adaptateur nano-SIM qui traînent) - pas de lecteur d’empreintes 10 ans ça paraît une éternité pour le milieu de la tech, mais franchement une fois la question du logiciel “réglée” on ne sent pas tant que ça l’obsolescence de l’appareil. Avec un peu plus de perfs, une meilleur qualité photo et un lecteur d’empreintes ça serait un smartphone qui conviendrait à plus de 80% des utilisateurs. Autant vous dire que la majorité des gens n’aurait pas besoin d’acheter un smartphone neuf, si seulement les mises à jour étaient faciles à avoir après 3 ans… Bon l’expérience est sympa mais je suis quand même à la recherche d’un nouveau smartphone, mes critères seraient les suivants : - <200€ de préférence - reconditionné - compatibilité parfaite avec LineageOS - format le plus petit possible Pour l’instant je zieute : - Samsung Galaxy S10e - Google Pixel 5 - Oneplus 6 Si vous avec d’autres références à partager hésitez pas !

Introducing awesome-lemmy: a community driven list of useful apps & tools for Lemmy! - Lemmy.world

I just created awesome-lemmy [https://github.com/dbeley/awesome-lemmy] based on the well-known awesome [https://github.com/sindresorhus/awesome] lists. There is already a awesome-lemmy-instances [https://github.com/maltfield/awesome-lemmy-instances] which is specialized in Lemmy instances but no general list that’s why I created one. It’s forked from awesome-scala which has a very neat python script to easily add new projects so it should be quite easy to contribute, feel free to add tools, apps and websites linked to lemmy!
