San Clemente Island Goat Conservation Farmer

Kasimer and Vonnegut are "self-black" San Clemente Island goats. In addition, on the right, Jasper displays the black and white color variation. These variations can be found in a small handful of United States and Canadian herds. There still needs to be research done on these variations. But frankly, self-black is my favorite!

San Clemente Island goats are a mostly unimproved, multi-purpose breed with a breed description rather than a standard. These goats can range a lot in size, color, and pattern. Though many have a typical brown and black color with facial markings and a cape. However, they are a fine boned goat that is usually more miniature-sized. They should be registered with the SCIGBA. The EB Ranch Farmstead is slowly shifting to a new name, The Liminal Farmstead. Since 2013, I have focused on the critically endangered San Clemente Island goat breed. Supporting genetic projects and embracing the diversity found in this breed.
