I had passed this street sign for years, often thinking I might take some black paint and repaint the letters which had been white and rusting on a white ground.
So this morning, I substituted a walk for my usual run and went to give it a place in the Pride celebrations.

I finally got round to exorcising my demons about how we all worry about being normal in society and living up to what's accepted and expected when it's all a pile of pish. We carry an erroneous image of being acceptable handed down unthinkingly by people who were aping their betters.

As the slaughter of innocent children in Gaza reaches a high point of one child every two hours and Israel is achieving massive increases in the bombing of infrastructure which includes homes, schools and hospitals — even tents — the Israeli government has reassured those appalled by the horrific levels of slaughter among the civilian population that what looks like genocide and smells like genocide is in fact self defence.
