Can’t imagine how you read this story about how Stanford treated Katie Meyer and not end up absolutely furious. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/2022/11/23/parents-ex-stanford-goalie-katie-meyer-sue-wrongful-death/10766400002/

Gotta love seeing Qatar’s “performance” so far… #WorldCup
There’s a non-zero chance I just paid to have TouchTunes play Taylor Swift’s all too well here at my neighborhood dive in suburban IL. We shall see how that goes over…

By the way, the economy is at least 50% more concentrated now than it was in 2005.

We desperately need stronger anti-trust enforcement to break up the monopoly power of corporations like Ticketmaster.

With Republicans set to take over the US House of Representatives and unleash a wave of politically-motivated "investigations" that serve the most cynical purposes, worth remembering that #Democrats have done real work to protect workers.

Want an example?

Check out this hearing happening right now which is talking about making warehouses a safer place to work. (Looking at you #Amazon).

Is this thing on?

Gotta say, I never thought that one of the most important questions I’d have to do while researching #watch makers would be “Did this brand make watches for Nazis?”

It should go without saying, as well, that there is something sickly wrong with a party using a quote of this nature to promote themselves when they have long been explicitly devoted to enabling unimaginable wealth accumulation and cutting back basic services and benefits to working people.
Have been seeing these posts pop up from the GOP Facebook page. It’s no secret that religion has played a significant role in the GOP’s messaging for years, but the specific use of religious scripture in such a planned manner is… deeply disconcerting.
There is a major difference between a speech or an offhand reference.
This is the regular employment of religious scripture to create in-group identification. And that is dangerous.
