Calling time on DNSSEC? | APNIC Blog

Should we drop DNSSEC and just move on?

Anyone who has worked with me knows I am a big fan of incremental loading, which I brought up at every opportunity. The irony that the 'big get' is my breaking point for switching to other cameras is not lost on me.
The Nest app has this concept of a "big get" request, which is everything that was needed to load the main view. Fine when we had just thermostats and smoke detectors, but broke quickly when devices with live streaming (cameras) were added. At that point you couldn't see the temperature in your home until the camera stream was fully realized. Management was OK with one main loading indicator but didn't want multiple for different products.

My house is already wired for outdoor cameras, so battery only cameras are not interesting to me, but it is time to replace my dated Nest Cams which take a minute or more to load a live view in any supported app.

Ideally I am looking for an outdoor Matter/HomeKit camera with the ability to record 24/7, scrubbing capabilities, event and object detection.

Basically a Nest Cam that can start a live stream like the old Nest/Dropcam apps used to do.

Perfection #TEALS

Grading the final #TEALS AP CS projects and the constant attempts at writing valid JavaDoc are making me proud.

We teach block comments documenting how to use blocks of code and inline comments explaining the why behind algorithms. They pick up bits of JavaDoc by looking at the code behind the official docs. Once someone gets to that point, there is no stopping them if they want to explore more on their own.

We Can Have A Different Web /by @molly0xfff https://www.citationneeded.news/we-can-have-a-different-web/

"There are no limits to the web β€” if it has borders, they are ever expanding. We may feel as though we are trapped in a tiny, crowded, noisy space, but it is only because we don't see over the walls."

πŸ’― This!

We can have a different web

Many yearn for the β€œgood old days” of the web. We could have those good old days back β€” or something even better β€” and if anything, it would be easier now than it ever was.

The last publicly acknowledged hack on #Autodesk was in 2021, why are users being forced to update their 2FA tokens now?

We use iCloud Notes as a family wiki, which is amazing despite a bunch of minor issues, but imagine if Notes were able to use iWork’s UX for creating and updating tables. Ultimately becoming the digital first version of Pages.

Or I could just leave the second column twice as wide as necessary and ignore the lack of column resizing.

You may be in a position where leaders in your company are hot to turn on Microsoft Copilot Recall.

Your best counterargument isn't threat actors stealing company data.

It's that opposing counsel will request the recall data and demand it not be disabled as part of e-discovery proceedings.

The threat that keeps your executives up at night are lawyers, not hackers.
