@fixatedpersonsunit While UBI is a noble concept, as an example, a $10k UBI for over 18yr olds in Aus would be approx 11% of current GDP.
Huge changes to taxation, welfare & the funding models at State & Local gov levels would be required - changes that no government in our foreseeable future would be willing to genuinely explore.

Stray cats look "well fed" because they kill local fauna. Cats should be kept inside & controlled when outdoors. Cats are natural predators and while cute, are a key cause of local fauna degradation & extinction.
