Hey, so I’m using the Mastodon mobile app for now, and I’m having a bit of difficulty navigating the interface, as it’s a bit different to the browser version.

Could someone show me where these features are in the mobile app please?

-edit posts
-full screen view of other accounts instead of just the sidebar.
-how to hide said sidebar.

And on the topic of the new leadership, while my heart goes out to everyone who was laid of, I’m also equally curious about what the platform will be like, and what changes it will have. But regardless of all of that, I’m still gonna be spending less time on it. (As well as social media in general!) I need some time away from everything, and with certain events coming up, it’s probably the best for me to, as they say, “touch some grass” 😅
Anyway, I won’t be leaving altogether!

Hey! Guys!
So, just some updates:

Just getting it out there: I’m not leaving Twitter. But I AM going to spend much less time on it! And while a small part of that is kinda due to the new leadership there, it’s really just that I’ve been getting dangerously stressed on that site! And after a very stressful event that I accidentally made worse by intervening, despite trying to keep the peace, I realized I was addicted to the platform, so I’m taking a break. (1/2)

Note: when I said, “I didn’t do anything,” I meant I only tapped the icon which sent me to PeerTube, and I only tapped on the “learn more” link to skim the terms and conditions/important stuff about warning about keeping my IP address safe when using BitTorrent, and stuff like that! That’s all I did.

However, it also read that I can opt out of that or something? I’m just a bit confused. Does anyone know what they mean by that? (I’ll do my own research also, don’t worry. I’m just also seeing what other people have to say, so I can make my own decision.) (2/2)

Hey, so I was looking at some animation related posts, and a few were actually links to videos on PeerTube. The video itself was able to be played on here, and it was awesome! But then I tapped the icon next to the play button, and I think it sent me to PeerTube. I didn’t do anything, but I did see that it uses BitTorrent to allow P2P sharing, which I’ve heard of before, but I’m still a bit confused, and now concerned when I read that my IP address could be tracked or something. Ya know how games are able to have literally every type of graphics under the sun, (both Triple A and indie) from ultra realistic to incredibly basic, to hyper stylized, and more…

Well… what if Warner Bros. Hired game devs and artists and voice actors/physical actors and the like to make an interactive remake of “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?”

Hey! So, I’m trying this out now, and I’m just asking if anyone has any recommendations on what I can do on Mastodon, and by extension, the Fediverse!
Also, I’m really interested in using PeerTube, except I’m still learning about code, and I don’t have a way of hosting as of now. With that said, does Mastodon allow you to post videos too?
