@Grey08 Ausnahme wäre, du willst es wirklich aufs Auto kleben. Die Klebstoffe sind bei Autofolien halt Lack-Kompatibel.

@Grey08 Steinschlagfolie (z.B. Orafol Oraguard 270) ist nur auf 5 Jahre Haltbarkeit und 2 Jahre Lagerbeständigkeit spezifiziert.
Da hält gewöhnliche Polymer-Beschriftungsfolie oder einfach nur Laminat länger (8 Jahre Außenbereich) und ist zudem auch billiger.

@neonmate The 330s have some weird design choices but they are good machines (just saw and maintained some in a showroom but never seriously worked with them).

Of course Mimaki is just one of many ecosystems. The other big manufacturer is Roland (same company as for the music instruments btw, they also build big printers). Maybe check them out too.

@neonmate here is a short video that explains the workflow. This is a very basic level but it shows the possible results.
The machines are unfortunately really really expensive.

A major part of verifying results for the ametameric terminal palette optimiztion is this visualization of all color pairs as crossings both in full trichromatic color and for the three classes of full dichromacy, with additional CIE Lab Δe color differences and visualizations for the four worst pairs. On the website the same visualization can be seen for other common 16 color terminal schemes.

@tobybaier Mal ne blöde Frage von jemanden, der altersbedingt eigentlich nur noch Digitalkameras kennt: Hat dein Kumpel die Fotos durch seine Entwicklungsarbeit gerettet oder waren deine Motive nun einfach besser für den Filmtyp ausgewählt? Kann man die Farbgebung beim Entwickeln steuern?
Ich kenne den Entwicklungsprozess leider nur in der Theorie. Selbst mein Fotografieunterricht vor über 10 Jahren war nur Digital.

@neonmate Zumindest was Mimaki betrifft kann man alle Farbschichten mehrfach überdrucken. Kommt immer drauf an was man da vor hat.
Ich würde speziell nach Werbetechnik-Unternehmen schauen, die Schilder produzieren. Da kommen oft Flachbett-UV-Drucker zum einsatz. Die Maschinen sind leider nicht günstig. Das Problem ist, dass die Produktion von Reliefs durch den sehr hohen Farbauftrag extrem langwierig ist was halt den Preis treibt. Aber Fragen und ein Angebot machen lassen kostet nichts

@neonmate @daswarkeinhuhn Hi, ich war mal Techniker für Mimaki UV-Drucker und hab damals Reliefsticker als Showmaterial hergestellt.
Falls ihr Zugang zu solchen Maschinen habt, ich habe immer weiße Farbe zum aufbauen des reliefs genommen weil die etwas dicker ist, dann normal eine schicht Druckfarbe und zum schluss noch den UV-Lack.
Einige der Kisten (z.B. UJFX-Reihe) bieten auch "2,5D"-Druck direkt in der Software wo man das Relief quasi als Hightmap hineinladen kann.
