First time I’ve seen a yellow-headed blackbird. I’m pretty sure they were re-enacting a scene from Top Gun; “time to buzz the tower”!

A tiny little island in the stream! I went to photograph a waterfall and I got a rock (and the waterfall, but that is for another time).

Looking away from the waterfall offers an interesting view. Of course the waterfall is also quite interesting!

Glad I managed to get this photo before the wind got too strong to fly the drone. I was getting strong wind warnings as I was bringing it back to land. The lighthouse and land behind it are a National Historic Site, so I had to fly it from further away than I’d have liked, but it all worked out in the end.

I don’t take my drone up as often as I’d like, but I’m glad I did this day, last week. This is not far from home on a narrow stretch of beach that’s just off the highway, but not easily access to the public. Unless you have a drone and look down upon it. The repeating patterns of the waves and beach really caught my eye. #seascape #beach #VancouverIsland
