But... f**k the Greens. And Alicent? Boo-hoo-hoo. So was I expecting a bigger finale? Yup. Am I already counting down the - probably again very, very long - time until Season 3 and a resolution to all the dangling plot threads? You bet I am. And I still so much want Ser Criston Cole to suffer agonizing pain (not only because he's generally the worst, but also because he keeps reminding me of how they screwed up the natural aging process in S1).
So. Season 2 of #HouseoftheDragon has come to an end. Did I like it? Yes, I did. Sometimes even a lot. Do I think it was perfect? No, it wasn't, but at least it was consistently entertaining, and I found myself invested in almost every storyline (yes, even Daemon tripping otherworldly balls over in Harrenhal. Matt Smith can do no wrong in my book). Going into the story - not knowing a single tidbit of the source material - I thought it would be harder to pick a side in the upcoming conflict(1/2)
I really missed that anticipatory GoT-feeling where you know the shit is really going to hit the fan in the next episode. #HouseOfTheDragon

Just give #Shogun all the awards and then some... A near perfect show in all departments. Hiroyuki Sanada is a legend (not only) for this.

I didn't care for the first #Joker movie too much...guess that's not going to change for the sequel. It was well done & acted (even if it was just a verbatim copy of early Scorsese), but left me with a rather shrugging "why?" The film's popularity among incels and its mis(?)interpretation by some edgelords only added to my lack of interest/appreciation. I now hope that the sequel will challenge this audience to sit through what turns out to be a 2-hour Gaga musical. (no disrespect to Gaga).
I really hope that the series is so successful that the other four books in the "Ripliad" will be made into further seasons.
Let's not kid ourselves. The race for the best-looking TV series of 24 is over. I don't think I've ever seen a series that looks as effortlessly artful as #Ripley on Netflix. Everyone behind (and in front of) the camera is giving it their all. Of course, the main plot is already known, so no big surprises here. If I had anything to criticize, it would be that the series is a little too leisurely at times. On the other hand, every scene is simply a joy to watch.

Will you be part of #TheXFiles reboot?
Chris Carter: I wouldn’t. Only as a cheerleader.

Phew. (Magic) Bullet dodged.

(P.S. I am conflicted about the whole X-Files-Reboot. The X-Files is Mulder & Scully... sorry, Doggett & Reyes. Without them it is just another supernatural procedural with an admittedly cool premise. But, who knows? Maybe it'll be spectacular...)

"The X-Files" creator Chris Carter gave Ryan Coogler his blessing for the planned reboot of the show, but adds, "I'm not supposed to be talking about it."

Generally happy that #TrueDetectiveNightCountry" sticked the landing. The mysteries that remained unanswered felt right, the answers that were given felt satisfying... but it still could have benefited from one more episode to flesh out some elements. Characters like Eccleston's police chief felt unfinished, as did the mining lady... And what was the deal with Killer Bob... errrr... Travis Cohle? But other than that: Great season.
