fuck it, here's my intro to steno thread
stenography is a way to type that's existed since the 1900's, where you type a chord to type a word/phrase.
it auto-places spaces for you, so you can just focus on typing words. here's a map of the keyboard!
there's a runtime to type in steno on any computer called Plover, and a bunch of sites that let you learn and practice to your heart's content and it's really good
i wish i wish i wish i could find a pic of my old fluxbox setup, but all i can find are these, from before i even installed it on my machine.
it's really cool how my desktop setup has evolved over time. i'm finally thinking of doing it all again!
