That’s not a fair comparison at all. You typically pay for the media that you would “train” yourself off of or the author of said media would publish it for free with the expectation of fair use.

What they’re doing is downright theft or making a dishonest argument of fair use. They are either stealing media/data without fair compensation to the original creators or ignoring that the creators don’t want their media to be used for AI training purposes.

As an example, Nvidia was just caught not too long ago negotiating with one of the largest illegal archives to train their AI models. With that archive team making a clear distinction to Nvidia that is was all pirated content. Don’t defend this garbage, it’s pretty fucking clear what these corporations are doing.

It’s just another classic example of scapgoating laws that the average people have to follow but the corporations and ruling class can either ignore or litigate themselves out of.

I use to work for a large financial institution based out of Quebec but was working primarly with the Ontario market.

Working entirely on the investment side assisting finacial advisors and their clients regarding registered and non-registered accounts.

There very much are a lot of dumb transfer fees and other bs fees dependant on the financial institution being transferred to and and from. They absoultetely need to regulate to remove a lot of these fees.

Although the biggest problem was actually the transfer times depending on the institution. A lot of client’s money would sit in limbo for way too long of a period in which they missed out on market growth.

Fuck even my own company was guilty of this. The amount of times I needed to reach out to people to properly backdate transactions was ridiculous.

And to top it off, higher net worth clients would be made whole with no issue. But regular accounts was like nails on a chalk board.

RESPs were particularly bad to deal with.

The government very much needs to fix the fees and include regulation that forces these companies to either back date and make the clients whole or have penalties on absurd transfer times.

100% true, but I also feel like Stalker 2 has pandered more to those casual gamer audiences since they clearly can’t survive as a game developer off of us fans alone.

Stalker 2 definitely feels less abrasive and challenging than previous titles and mods.

But I also have hundreds of hours in GAMMA and Anomaly so I’ve got my biases and know how Im suppose to play. I am use to being aggressively abused and punished by the game, which is a very different experience from the casual “mainstream” gamers.
