Regardless of the laws, having a simple age check from the browser/OS would be handy. Wish the EUs anti tracking had required it to be a check against a users predefined setting instead of the popup on every single website.

Such a weird thing to get upset about. This is an easy way to allow flagging a user as underage without exposing actual identification to the users. You don’t have to put in their actual birth date, just use Jan 1 of whatever year.

If this sort of thing is accepted, this lets websites and games do a simple check and then all blame for underage access is on whoever setup the account on the computer.

Nah that house was a mansion in the 90s too. It showed up in the news a while ago for $5.5 million because it’s a giant house in a nice part of Chicago. That guy was definitely in the 1%.

Makes sense in that environment. If someone doesn’t have at least one grandparent that endured some shit then their family lived a very fortunate life. Or more likely didn’t pass down stories of just how bad things got.

Tall leather will last SO much longer if you take care of it. Had leather shoes I wore everyday until the sole wore through. It was initially super thick ands I’d still be wearing them if it was a resolable shoe. Now that’s all I get and they’ll probably outlive me.

Obviously friends their age would depend on neighborhood demographics.

However, in the US many of them are not able to bike to a playground or school and anything beyond their street could be a high speed road. I’d say only a small percentage can bike to the places you mentioned, especially after elementary age. Some areas of the US are good, but I doubt more than a tiny fraction of the kids in places like Texas could do that.

We specifically moved because our old neighborhood lacked all 3 and I didn’t want my kids growing up the way I did.
