I think it's a very big and scary lie to call gacha games "gambling addiction", because it is much stranger.

With Gambling there's an established fantasy, a kayfabe, that if a gambler finally gets their lucky break and wins, say, a billion, they'd stop gambling and go live their life (though most of them might continue pulling the slots even then in reality).
