None of Trump's announced appointees are remotely as dangerous as Tulsi Gabbard. People are not as freaked out as they need to be.

Anything Tulsi sees, Putin, Xi and Assad will see. Our alliances will be eliminated and Russia will have unfettered access to destroy the U.S. from within.

@msbellows we can build up

People act like "buy a house and watch it increase in value rapidly as an investment" isn't an obviously stupid ponzi scheme that will crash society in three generations.

Think about it for 15 seconds. How did anyone think this was ok as policy?

It took far too long to happen, but I am deeply grateful to see Trump finally being held accountable for his crimes in office.

A functional democracy needs to take less than two and a half years to get around to it, but I will take justice served late to justice not served.

Rightwing think tanks like Heritage and ALEC are institutionalizing & providing a blueprint to enact Trump's attempt to turn our democracy into a far-right dictatorship. That's a big deal, & means the threat won't end with Trump.

The Assault on Democracy Won’t Stop with Trump

A massive conservative effort to politicize federal agencies and law enforcement bodes ill no matter who wins the Republican presidential nomination or when the GOP retakes power, which they eventually will.

A rich conservative bought Santa Barbara's local newspaper, turned it in a rightwing rag, and bankrupted it.

We need to densify and dramatically increase the population of coastal cities as climate refuge zones, and rewild rural areas--especially parched deserts.

Creating a housing crisis in cooler areas and pushing people into deserts to afford housing is perverse and ecologically disastrous.

We'll see what happens with the latest "deal," but McCarthy cannot control his own caucus. Biden should still invoke the 14th, and removal of the debt ceiling as a future hostage should be part of Dem demands.

Biden Should Not Cave to the Republican Hostage-Takers

Asserting the power to nullify the debt limit by using the 14th Amendment power or minting a trillion-dollar coin must be kept on the table.
