I never realised how cloudy this country was until I took up stargazing.
@MPCmonkey Hello mate, a load of us have migrated to BlueSky. It is invite only at the moment, but if you are interested I have a code you can use to get in the door. The site itself seems to be getting a little more traction every time Mr. Musk reveals a new idea.
I had set the star tracker for Star tracking instead of “App”. Back on track.
Bah. I can’t connect to the star tracker. This could be a disappointing night.
And here we have the Summer Triangle of Vega, Altair, and Deneb.
While I’m waiting, this is an iPhone shot of Ursa Major with Ursa Minor above and to the right. Polaris is the tail of Ursa Minor on the right.
Now to wait for less twilight.
Alignment done, I think. It’s difficult to be precise with my dodgy eyes and varifocal specs. And not having done this in three months only adds to the challenge.
