In my #InfoSec work, I'd often used the story of two friends crossing the African plains noticing a lion was stalking them. As one starts putting on running shoes, the other says "You can't outrun a Lion." The first friend says "I only have to outrun 'you'..."

It's trite, and better to stay together. ๐Ÿ‘ญ๐Ÿ’ž

In security work these days, the "they'll usually attack easier targets" is much less true. Bots sweep broad areas looking for specific vulnerabilities to exploit, then target and attack them.

The speaking of English should have been a dead giveaway.

Nothing like English could possibly have evolved unless a ridiculous amount of history, geography and socio-political interactions had happen exactly this way it did.

That two cultures had created exactly the same English that was spoken, required it be derived from exactly the same situations/history. Thus it is one world, one history that was being passed down but with Ape speakers now.

I do not commit crimes because i'm afraid i'll get caught. I am not cruel because of the repercussions I could face. I try not to lie, not because I know the truth would inevitably come out.

I act the way I do because I try to be a good person who makes the world a better place.

I believe we all should feel this way and have little fear of any just judgement.

I judge people not because they broke "laws", but because of the kind of person they are and because of the actions they take.

OMG, it took me a while to figure out what this was about!

LOL, I'd thought nothing of the first misreading.

My Son Davey drove over this road the day before yesterday on westbound Highway 92 (before Caltrans noticed) and bottomed out his truck on the big dip in the road. 6 hours later it looked like the 2nd pic. 15 feet across and 25 feet deep. Road closed no ETA. More rain expected.๐Ÿ˜ฒ
I'm a big believer in #ChaosMonkey. In companies like the ones i've worked in, every DevOps engineer has a requirement that their production services are sufficiently redundant to stay up even if one server dies. The looming threat of Chaos Monkey keeps them honest & compliant.

I'm finding this true indeed. Even my cross-dressing relationships and the matching personality I expressed as pre-transition Darla are changing. Frankly a lot of my personality is awkward for me now and I want to be better.

After a long hot shower, conditioning, hairstyling and makeup, here is my New Yearโ€™s Eve dinner look.

Just doing some emergency home maintenance in the rain and storm today. Somebody trimmed the dirt back on the street behind our house and buried our rear gutter/sump outlet pipe. I dug the pipe out, marked it, unclogged it and extended it to the pavement.

Fortunately I check it every storm, so no damage think.

Despite my full rain gear, I look like a wet and sweaty rat now. lol
