I just launched an updated version of the Environmental and Climate Justice Syllabus! In addition to a searchable and expanded database of resources, my lab will be curating a series of mini-syllabi as analyses of the database. https://www.just-environments.org/the-syllabus

New commentary from Marccus Hendricks and I examining what we are calling "municipal undergreening," a systemic reluctance of municipalities to invest in green infrastructure in low-income communities of color. Such an honor to work with Marccus on this! https://doi.org/10.1080/14649357.2022.2147340

Had a great time at the ASLA conference! Team Flood Equity did a fantastic job!
Anna Serra-Llobet, Jessica Ludy, and I are at #ASLA2022 in San Francisco this Saturday! Our panel discusses flood inequities by examining the mechanisms keeping recovery funds from the poor (South Texas), placing it in the hands of the affluent (Montecito). Come join us!
This week our Environmental and Climate Justice class is focusing on Disaster Justice, and after our first lecture let me tell you: our students in planning and design are pining to work on this topic!!!
My Department @sunyesf is looking to hire someone working at the intersection of environmental health and environmental justice. #environmentaljustice #environmentalhealth

Reading about 1965's Hurricane Betsy and its uncanny similarities to 2005's Hurricane Katrina. It's so infuriating that so little has changed.
Happy to join this space! As my first post, I thought I'd share my lab's resources on environmental and climate justice. Great for anyone doing syllabus development for next semester! We will be updating and restructuring the resources throughout November! https://www.just-environments.org/resources
imo if you wanna stop being addicted to twitter or whatever you just need to care less about knowing what all the other people in the world are doing and thinking all the time. cultivate a rich inner world. bake a book. read a bread. touch moss. eat mud. chase a large grazing beast with your claws and fangs. healthy things like that
