This is the saddest July 4 in my memory. The United States is plunging into vile right-wing dictatorship, in large part because once-vital institutions -- including Big Journalism -- have chosen to be quislings when courage was needed.
It's not too late to reverse our decline, but it's close.
Dear journalists: If you call the Trump-Republican omnibus legislation that (among other things) takes health care from millions to further enrich billionaires the "big beautiful bill" -- you are doing propaganda for the regime.

App Store search is not a user feature:
The new two-tier developer system proves explicitly that Apple considers App Store search to be a developer feature rather than a user feature. Apple is willing to be less helpful to users to the extent that app developers pay a lesser commission to Apple.
Florida Sheriff Wayne Ivey is threatening to hurt & KILL protesters. Just remember: Florida cops were the same cowards who ran AWAY from the Parkland shooter, left innocent kids exposed to a deadly terrorist—& when they were sued for abdicating their duty—defended themselves (and won) by arguing “police had no legal duty to protect the students.”
So, their new threats to kill civilians isn’t the first time they’ve disregarded their duty to protect & serve the public. This is just who they are.😐
