I remember one year, the year I was sick, Cooking traditional dishes for my siblings: Turkey and pie and stuffing and more. Then, while they ate, I’d go to the kitchen, And make myself celery sticks. Celery sticks with hot sauce. Because I had read that those were ‘healthy foods’. And I wanted so badly to be good at being ‘healthy’. Over 10 years have passed since then. And now I know that HEALTH? It’s not what I was doing. Health is having a BALANCED relationship with food. It’s eating without guilt, without shame. So today, I just want to remind you To please, please allow yourself to enjoy the holiday season. Not with shame, certainly not with starvation. But instead with softness and celebration. Because food is fuel, Not just for our bodies but for our hearts, our souls. And so many beautiful moments can be made around the table. x KIT @womensbest #womensbestathlete #selflove #bodyconfidence #bodyacceptance #onlinevsreality #instavsreality #posedvsrelaxed #bodypositivity #foodquotes #edwarrior".
