I've often said, rather than trying to wipe out mosquitoes and other "nuisance" species — nature has a way of fighting back against extinction — we should figure out how to genetically engineer mosquitoes that produce, like, Vitamin C or D, or anti-malarial compounds, e.g., rather than making us itch...
