This Crowdstrike outage is absolutely bonkers.
They have so much adoption with MSPs, Government, Healthcare and Financial industry this is going to be a weird week if they can't push a remote fix to the 100M endpoints currently bootlooping.
Ever since Server 2008 R2, UAC has prevented Local Admins on Domain Servers from accessing SMB shares locally, when they have Group ownership via a domain group. You have to take ownership of the local files to traverse the directories, the domain group ownership isn't honored.
But if you access the UAC path from another server with the same user, full access is permitted.
I thought this was a bug in 2009, I figured Server 2008 R2 SP1 would fix it.

Law enforcement agencies in Nebraska, Nevada, South Dakota and Texas reported temporary outages to 911 services before saying hours later that services had been restored. It was not immediately clear what caused the outages or whether they were related.
