When my mother died and I travelled back to the US for her funeral, I started doing Duolingo again. A few fits and starts, a few streaks lost, but overall I stuck with it. Today I achieved a 1,313 day streak. Today I also updated the app and got an ad after every lesson I did. And this idiotic 'energy' system, but for a fresh subscription I can obviate that! Today I uninstalled Duolingo. I will not have a 1,314 day streak. So long, and thanks for all the fish. Too bad they ruined the app.
I found the cutest littel shot glass at Woolworth this weekend. And today I knew what must be done. Also, MAN am I happy with this laser. I just wish I had the 20W laser module as well as this 10W module.

Finally have one fully completed watch. From the four I was making for Christmas. 😞 And I just dumped my box of spring bars on the floor. 😭
Finally got this little brat done and on the recipient's wrist. Ugh. What a pain in my ass this has been because almost everything went wrong. Thankfully I didn't try to disassemble the damn movement, but I think I managed to screw it up, so it'll be getting replaced next year. Now to decide if that'll be an ETA(ish) Quartz, or another mechanical movement.
