As per tradition, the US will sign an agreement with Iran, leaving the region with more instability, the US with less advantage, and having spent billions of dollars and, of course, the lives of US servicemembers, not to mention untold civilian lives.

At home, Americans have effectively lost economic power through war inflation, while billionaires have consolidated more wealth.

In short, a typical war.

This is so deeply embarrassing and shocking at the same time. Navigate to whitehouse.gov/aliens/ and you will see a page that at first glance appears to tease unclassified information about aliens from outer space "walking among us." But as you scroll down it becomes apparent the White House is referring to immigrants in the US.

I realize the POTUS has said far worse in plenty of Executive Orders that are published on whitehouse.gov, but this is just disgusting to see.

The next logical step for companies pushing AI on everyone as the new normal is the slow and inevitable walk back as those same companies realize so much of it is vastly too expensive for what it actually does
In my lifetime, there have been three industries that tried to sell “we’re the good guys” as hard as big AI: Tobacco, Guns, and Oil. There’s your lesson. Act accordingly.
So, @[email protected] ate his Wheatties this morning

Now you can keep track of how many billions the AI companies are losing on AI. (Red is spending, green is revenue.) https://isaiprofitable.com/

the declaration/constitution aren't some sacred texts from on high

but they do make a few good arguments that are independent of their provenance

things that would still be true if theyd never been written down at all, let alone by dead white slaveowner dudes

Ah crap, saw the Palantir manifesto

Here we go.

My friend won a hundred bucks at a poster competition for *promoting generative AI adoption* with this poster, by popular vote no less. Hilarious
