I teach 1st grade in #Michigan. I love reading, crafting, and chilling in nature.

Total student loan debt that would have been erased for millions of Americans: $400 billion

Total cost of the Trump tax cuts that largely benefited the wealthy and corporations: $1.9 trillion

This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged.

CEOs keep pretending they can't afford to pay workers fairly while they rake in millions off of workers' labor. Don't fall for this illusion of scarcity.
@rbreich and it never seems to make a difference on my taxes. A woman I know writes off all her makeup and hair salon appointments because she sells Mary Kay.
I have no idea who originally made this graphic, but whoever you are, you are a genius.
@michael_w_busch We can bail out banks and corporations all the time on top of giving them tax breaks but God forbid we help out the little guy for wanting to improve himself and his nation by going to college. #CancelStudentDebt

Do not accept this or anything like it either, USA.

Require that Congress and the Biden administration #CancelStudentDebt.

And, again, #UnpackTheCourts.

#BookBans and attempted bans continue to hit record highs, according to the American Library Association. Book bans continue at record pace in 2023, American Library Association reports

The nationwide surge in book bannings continues. The American Library Association is reporting that challenges to books in schools and public libraries will likely reach record highs in 2023, topping what had been a record pace in 2022. School libraries had long been the predominant target, but in 2023 reports have been near-equally divided between schools and libraries open to the general public, the ALA announced Wednesday. The ALA released its numbers in advance of its annual banned books week, Oct. 1-7, when libraries highlight challenged works.

@toddbohannon Just a other sign of how bad Texas has gotten. Good guys don't ban books. Some.of the GOP in Michigan is pushing to limit our libraries and lessons in school here.
