I don’t know how I ganked it. Was trying to screw with config stuff to set up MPD because I’ve never done it before. Now I turn on the machine and it is missing the ly greeter. Instead, I type in my username and password and it gives me a terminal. I have no idea what to do now. Got me considering the nuclear option (wave a white flag and install over this drive with Debian). Help? Edit: the ly display manager bit the dust for some reason. Just installed sddm and now I’m back in business! Edit 2: Apparently ly just needed a new symlink because they changed something and the old one no longer works. Back to using my favorite display manager and using my computer as I usually do. Thanks for the help, folks! Y’all are great <3

Hey there, folks! Currently playing around with a laptop that’s got three SSDs. Running Arch but that isn’t quite related. I have everything configured on one SSD, the other two are totally fresh. What do I need to do to setup one of those fresh SSDs for Timeshift backups? Please walk me through it from the very start- I think I understand some parts but I’m not too certain. I can format the drives using mkfs.btrfs without any issues, but I’m confused about how I can add subvolumes and configure their root permissions properly to allow Timeshift snapshots.

I started out in this hobby about five years ago with an Olight S2R Baton II. That was a fantastic light and I found myself purchasing more and more flashlights. It took me long enough, but now I’m truly through the deep-end. Getting into Emisar and Noctigon lights has turned me into a tint junkie, and if a light doesn’t use Anduril 2, I’m no longer interested! This is my current collection, including the brand new (and most recent addition) Emisar DA1K. The new Lume X1 driver really is a huge step forward for Hank’s lineup, and I couldn’t be more pleased with just how low that LED can shine without any flicker or stutter!
