Mastodon will soon begin offering managed hosting and support services for organizations - Star Trek Website

Here’s a TechCrunch article on the topic too [https://techcrunch.com/2025/09/19/mastodon-has-a-new-plan-to-make-money-hosting-and-support-services-for-the-open-social-web/]. First of all I love this idea, especially for nonprofits, universities and governments. My biggest question is how moderation will work. The “point” of federation is that each instance can moderate their own way, but presumably the paid moderation will be in the style of mastodon.social, which isn’t bad, but not exactly in the spirit of the Fediverse.

Pro-AI Subreddit Bans 'Uptick' of Users Who Suffer from AI Delusions - Star Trek Website

Pretty freaky article, and it doesn’t surprise me that chatbots could have this effect on some people more vulnerable to this sort of delusional thinking. I also thought this was very interesting that even a subreddit full of die-hard AI evangelists (many of whom have an already religious-esque view of AI) would notice and identify a problem with this behavior.
