@KennyPark I thought so too. According to the Playstation subreddit though it’s a disaster of epic proportions.
Yup. There it is. A quick gander in the PlayStation sub Reddit. And nothing but moaning and complaining.
I find myself wondering if some people enjoy gaming anymore because increasingly it seems no one hates video games more than chunks of the gaming community.
I’m enjoying #stateofplay I’m sure someone will tell me I’m wrong but this is Sony’s best showing in an absolute age. #ps5
@chris I think Warhorse were pretty confident in it as all review copies were sent a month ago. So hopefully you won’t have to wait long to find a good cross section of opinion.
@chris it’s a tricky game thst diesbt care initially if you can access it if not. I too was horrible at the sword play for a good half of the game!
@chris I immediately go to the less glowing reviews these days, precisely because I want balanced critique.
Glowing reviews of that month’s particular darling are always two a penny.
I actively dislike the scoring of anything artistic because that’s the whole review to far too many players.
The GOTY year stuff is just bizarre to me. It’s so utterly meaningless.
Thrilled to see so many great reviews of #kcd2 reviews roll in but am reminded of the declining standards of games writing in the process.
I immediately zone out reading terms like ‘GOTY contender’ or ‘masterpiece’. Lazy, meaningless plaudits in place of meaningful critique.
The death of gaming print media was the herald of the decline of games writing and I’m prepared to die on this hill.
Too many bloggers playing at journalist and not enough Keza MacDonalds.
