The last few months of less pay has sucked. With fuel being so expensive right now, I’m super screwed. That brings the price for everything else up. Gonna have to prune some unnecessary services and goods.

Back to working at the position I’m now over qualified for now. Feels good to say that… in a sick sort of way. Old pay for a while sadly. Gonna try to get a new casual job with my new qualification in the meantime.

After these big life achievements, I always get sick. Never fails. Just nauseated, sore, and feeling like I don't want to eat anything ever. I woke up at 4 this morning. Not sure what to do with myself now I'm not armpit deep in medical research.

And now, a break from scholarly things (for a few years, at least). Done! ✅

2 days of clinical practice to go until I am DONE with my degree. Trust me, I won’t be letting a punch in the face stop me. The drs told me they’d prefer me to take the next two days off. Gave me a medical certificate for it. Nope. Not gonna happen.

Today I got punched in the face. No one goes to work for that shit. Luckily, the emergency department was just a walk away, and I was fast tracked through. Nothing broken. Just a bruised ego because I tried to help someone who fell, and they punched me.

Left home three hours before I start my clinical practice. Takes me one hour to get there. Usually takes me an hour to find parking. Today, found it within 2 min of getting there. Now I’ve got a little less than 2 hours to waste. Should I be thankful or annoyed? Maybe both. Lol

A friend of mine (who needs mobility assistance) is wanting me to take a trip with him around the world later this year. When he mentioned Taiwan, I immediately thought about all the food I can eat. I'm supposed to go to the USA for a bit at the end of the year to see family. (I love them.) I can only do one, but not sure I can go without being home for Christmas.

I finish my degree next week, then it's back to the gym for me. Kinda need to look after myself a bit better after all that.

All of these beautiful days and I’m stuck inside the hospital. When I have a day off, the rain, clouds, or heat comes. Summer is trying to get a few more days out before it ends I think. Such a shame I have to work all of them haha.
