- Do we think this is really malachite or just painted to look like it?
- Do we believe this is real citrine or roasted amethyst?
- Do we believe for a nanosecond this geode came out of the ground like that and is not a franken-specimen?
- This was probably a nice mineral specimen before they carved it into a stupid shape.

Useful data points in this piece, but (IMO) completely the wrong conclusion.
One after another, to me, these stories follow the same two points:
- Anger at neoliberalism (and Dem failure to protect them from it)
- Exposure to rightwing framing and propaganda
To me, that's what drives the (worldwide) shift to the right.
