I don’t remember open web still a thing after Google subtly taking over the web in 2010s, injecting Google web tools and their “privacy-driven” ads. Would you love to control the web with Google? Almost every websites I visited have Google tools injected to it. My DNS filters say it all. Open web nowadays is just a brand, not what it was from yesteryears.

Mozilla Firefox is what keep Google not being too big. Damn, even the inventor of the Web wants a reform.

napaka-helpful rin ng reddit when it comes to searching something. i have struggles with lemmy and other instances when it comes to this.
