Im currently using thunder. It looks really nice and smooth. Also it is open source and you can find it on Izzy's repo. This is thunder's github page.

On android, I use rethinkDNS. Its pretty configurable and open-source. On windows or linux, I use mullvad dns. They have 2 free DNS resolvers(unfiltered, adblock)

I am still migrating from reddit. I love lemmy but still I need reddit for my purpose.

It seems its abandoned. I no longer use bromite on official bromite repo. Instead, I now use this. This is uazo's bromite using build tools, and it is being updated and released.
