This is how I am hoping to grab my colleagues’ attention....
And this is why I study history….

Last Christmas my father expressed doubt in my cat’s intelligence.

But today, during a work Teams call, my cat walked across the computer and placed me on ‘mute’ while I was in mid-flow, talking to colleagues about him.

If that is not intelligence, I don’t know what is…

If he fits, he sits.

New episode! I am joined by Hattie from the Hattie Talks podcast to explore the barrier breaking TV show Gentleman Jack, based on the life of the diarist and lesbian Anne Lister. We discuss Anne's struggles, her triumphs and her passionate romantic relationships. We examine if Gentleman Jack is accurate in its representation of the strict gender and class roles of early 19th century Britain.

It is alarming how much of my Spotify Wrapped is sea shanties and scores by John Williams.....

Just started watching Ted Lasso and not only do I love the warm humour of it, but the fact that it is set in place a place I know well, Richmond, London and the second episode features Crystal Palace, my local team :)

Plus the female characters are awesome!
