I splashed £1 on a pot of lilies from a supermarket bargain section last year. They flowered nicely in their pot at the front of our house last year, but this year they are spectacular. Maybe lilies like four weeks with almost no rain.

Rather happy with today’s #flower photo. This dianthus was on its last legs in a pot at the front of the house. I decided to compost it but at the last minute changed my mind and popped it into the shady border. Two years later, it’s thriving
