I teach Media Studies and Digital Communication at SUNY Empire State. I am working on a Digital Humanities project about "Seinfeld."
I am working on a Digital Humanities book about Seinfeld and entertainment careers. I need a partner or helper who can get me updated IMDb data into spreadsheet form and help with the math. If anyone wants to or knows anyone who'd like to work on this, please get in touch.

Does anyone know if this conference is legit? A colleague was asking, but if it is I might want to go.

I built a site where you drop in your Twitter archive zip file and it spits out a zip file of a website where your public tweets and threads are searchable. The tool, and extensive details, are here:

Example archive built with it: https://tinysubversions.com/twitter-archive/

A simple, searchable, themeable archive of your public tweets

@davetroy Because I teach fully online in a well-established program, it's kind of a big deal to change an assignment, but as I revise or develop new courses, I may incorporate that or at least put something in the assignment where I ask them to contrast scholarly and non-scholarly research.
@davetroy Right. I tend to make my papers pretty complicated (and have a proposal, first draft, and final in my upper level courses) specifically so that even if they are cheating, they have to reverse engineer so much that they might accidentally learn something.
@davetroy I could not get it to understand that the paper assignment required scholarly research. The only time it used any was when I specifically told it to quote our textbook authors, which it did pretty well.
@poniewozik I teach media studies and watch TV nearly every night and more on weekends. Yet I've seen 5 + 2 Honorable Mentions of Framke's and 4+2 of D'Addario (plus one ep each of Pam & Tommy and the Staircase, because we wanted to see at least one of each Emmy nominee.) Too much content!
@dkompare Don't forget that if you use All of the Above or None of the Above that they are actually the last response, which randomizing often undoes.
