CaribouKai@johannamation I worked for a year as a library clerk and one of my favorite moments was one little girl excitedly opening a book about space and pointed to a blurb about Eris, how that was HER name, and how it was after the name of the goddess of strife and discord.
She was wearing fairy wings and a unicorn horn hairband.
John MooreSuch an elegant method of seed dispersal. Dipterocarpus alatus seed ยางนา. Plentiful where I go with my dogs. Drift downwards like miniature helicopters and can fall over 60m. from the tree. Numerous scientists have studied their motion and and terminal velocity. Resin is collected for eg draught-proofing of boats. Bark used in traditional medicine, for rheumatism and diseases of the liver. I say good luck to those seeds. #nature

PhotoDavid78 📸 🟦 🇮🇱🇺🇸Every once in awhile (and now a days it seems more frequent), we get mild weather in January. I love spending those days on the #beach. #Sunset in particular is my favorite time as a #photographer because of the nice warm light and the long shadows. The seagulls take over the sand in winter as humans are generally indoors except for a few surfers and fishermen. Although I can’t swim in the cold water, I cherish these days over my summer days at the shore.
