New here....never been on a site like this so, y'know, be kind.

I would say I'm a low-level geek in that I very much like Star Trek, LOTRs, Star Wars, and well, SF/F films in general. Love books and gaming too. I was awkwardly geeky well before the upsurge in mainstream nerd/geekiness over the last 10-15 years. But I confess to loving every minute of this! Easily accessible Marvel and DC films/telly? Count me in. The love of revisiting Mario N64? I'm there. Never was there a better time to be a geek as far as I'm concerned.

I am really looking forward to posting here and hopefully having some interesting conversations with people.
