@arstechnica i want an 8K TV. My 77” LG OLED is too large for 4K to look as good as I want.
The mass layoffs and job cuts are not because of AI. Every few years a new accountability scapegoat emerges. CEOs have finally moved on from blaming “pandemic overhiring”.
Tariq Woolen may have cost the Seahawks a trip to the Super Bowl because of his lack of disciple. Unacceptable from a professional football player.
Let’s go Seahawks!
#SeahawksNot a good look for the federal agents. Alex Pretti is attempting to help the two women who are being attacked and shoved by agents. He has his hands up, is not threatening, and is attempting to deescalate. Even when shoved and pepper sprayed he has his back to agents and is moving away. They grab him and throw him to the ground.
As a reminder, here is the moment it all started. Alex has his phone clearly visible in one hand and his other hand raised in the air to show he is not a threat. His head is turned away and he is about to be sprayed by a border patrol agent in an unwarranted escalation.
Alex is already shot, going stiff, and falling to the ground as the agent on the left in the sand colored beanie pulls his weapon and subsequently shoots multiple times. Heavy set guy in the tan pants middle frame is reaching for his weapon but never draws. He can tell Alex has no weapon and is not a threat.
Alex falling to the ground. Border patrol shooter's gun clearly visible and pointed directly at Alex.
This frame is right after the shot was fired. The border patrol shooter (black ski mask, forest green jacket, and dark pants) has his weapon pointed directly at Alex whose body is involuntarily going stiff.
Notice the two agents that were on the ground with Alex disengaging as a natural flight reaction to move away from the gun that is being discharged. The two agents on the right do not yet have their weapons drawn.
Here the shooter has his weapon out and pointed at Alex.
The agent on the left has nothing in his hands. the one behind the shooter is moving away with Alex's pistol in his hand, the two on the ground are engaged with both hands on Alex's body, and the two on the right have their weapons holstered (confirmed in other camera angles).
