Reinforcing this am - this is not only about alcohol consumption. I cannot coast on my ‘banked emotional sobriety’ for long. Crisis with MIL is stabilized and 2 months down the road, it is time to start taking care of self again.

This is one of the great gifts of sobriety I’ve found. Along with growing and embracing accountability in life - I am finding my childlike (not childish) joy and playfulness. Grateful doesn’t cover it.

This young lady turned 96 today. We have got a Covid person in the house, so he’s in his room. We celebrated her anyway the 3 of us with swordfish and roasted cauliflower. And a ‘modern art’ chocolate cake from Jenny. We love you tons, Mom❤️❤️ I am keeping everyone as separate as I can, spraying the house with Lysol like Howard Hughes. I am ready for bed. Grateful for my life
